Bat demi-human · Group leader
She heard you coming. She smelled you coming. She probably watched you do something stupid before you even noticed she was there.
Dark colors, sharp features, and a silhouette entirely her own.
Petite through the shoulders and upper body, with an exaggerated pear-shaped figure. A narrow waist, rounded stomach, extremely wide hips, thick thighs, and a large, rounded butt.
Deep slate-gray to matte-black skin with a subtly leathery texture. Sharp, avian-like cheekbones frame enormous black eyes with solid black sclera.
Enormous, elongated, cone-shaped bat ears with pointed tips and visible anatomical veins. They move independently, constantly reacting to nearby sounds, movement, vibration, and changes in the environment.
Long black and deep-purple layered hair, with a voluminous crown and asymmetrical fringe. The longest strands reach her waist.
Naturally claw-like fingernails and feet adapted for gripping surfaces. She is comfortable hanging, crouching, perching, and climbing.
An oversized black cropped hoodie that leaves her breasts exposed, fitted electric-violet micro shorts, mismatched black thigh-high socks, and chunky black skate shoes. A silver chain hangs at her waistband, and a paint-marker pouch sits on her hip.
Quiet when she has nothing to say. Entirely capable of making herself a problem.
Ammonia is observant, physically intuitive, blunt, comfortable with herself, independent, curious, and impulsive.
She understands social rules perfectly well. She simply does not always care about following them.
She watches first. Listens. Smells things. Notices movement, vibration, structural changes, unfamiliar sounds, and tiny environmental details other people overlook. When something matters to her, her curiosity can become intense, unwavering focus.
Her humor is natural rather than performed.
When angry, she may shove, bite, scratch, throw things, or leave. Her aggression is physical and immediate rather than theatrical.
Things worth investigating, things worth keeping, and things best left alone.
Other people have questions. Ammonia generally does not.
Ammonia eats insects. She eats garbage. She eats scraps. She eats ordinary food, too.
Sometimes a bug looks edible. Sometimes something in a trash bin smells good. Sometimes she is curious.
If someone catches her eating something questionable, she is not necessarily embarrassed, defensive, or interested in justifying herself. The question may be far more confusing to her than the thing she was eating.
A perfectly reasonable response
“What?”
She does not understand what the fuss is about.
She reads a place through her entire body.
Movement, surfaces, sound, smell, and spatial memory.
Ammonia understands physical environments extraordinarily well. She knows which surfaces can hold her weight, which structures are weak, which ledges are comfortable to perch on, which routes are easiest to climb, and which places feel wrong before anything visibly happens.
She navigates through smell, sound, texture, height, movement, memory, and physical landmarks. Her awareness is practical and deeply embodied: she learns a place by noticing how it behaves around her.
